Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health Inc. is seeking a Radiation Therapist to deliver ionizing radiation to patients following the Radiation Oncologist's prescription and simulation instructions. The role requires completion of an approved Radiation Therapy program and state- or ARRT-based licensure.

Preferred candidates have experience with Varian equipment/Truebeam/ARIA and CT anatomy, with a focus on patient safety and precise treatment delivery in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Graduate from an approved Radiation Therapy Program.
• ARRT (T) certification is required.
• Radiation Therapy License is required.

• Deliver ionizing radiation to treat patients in accordance with the Radiation Oncologist's prescription and Simulation Instructions.

The Radiation Therapist is responsible for the delivery of ionizing radiation to treat patients in accordance with the Radiation Oncologists prescription and Simulation Instructions.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

• High School diploma, general equivalency diploma (GED), and/or GED equivalent programs.
• Graduate from an approved Radiation Therapy Program.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:

• A minimum of 1 year of experience with Varian equipment / Truebeam / ARIA.
• True Beam and CT anatomy.

Licenses and Certifications Required:

• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Certification - ARRT (T).
• Radiation Therapy License.

Contacts:

• Regular contact with Medical Center personnel, patients and visitors.

Working Conditions:

• Lifts a minimum of 25 lbs., pushes and pulls a minimum of 25 lbs. and stands a minimum of 4 hours a day.
