Job summary

MUSC Health is seeking a Radiation Therapist to deliver precise radiation therapy within a collaborative academic medical environment. You will work with radiation oncologists, physicists, dosimetrists, nurses, and fellow therapists to ensure safe and effective treatment delivery and patient care.

Responsibilities include treatment planning support, equipment readiness, quality improvement, and participation in student education as appropriate.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiation Therapy program.
• ARRT certification required.
• SCQRSA licensure required upon ARRT certification.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Deliver prescribed radiation therapy treatments accurately and safely.
• Position and prepare patients for treatment while ensuring comfort and privacy.
• Operate linear accelerators and related radiation therapy equipment.
• Perform CT simulation, clinical simulation, and emergency simulation as part of preparation.
• Verify patient identity, treatment site, positioning, and documentation before delivery.
• Monitor patients during treatment and communicate concerns to the care team.
• Provide patient education and supportive care throughout the process.
