Job summary

UF Health in Gainesville, FL is seeking a Radiation Therapist to deliver radiation therapy treatments and perform simulations in inpatient and outpatient settings, under the supervision of the Technical Director.

The role participates in QA, mentors peers, and supports program development; the team uses MOSAIQ/EPIC and multiple Elekta and Varian systems, with emphasis on real-time motion management.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of a program approved by the Council on Allied Health Education and Accreditation for Radiation Therapy Technology.
• Must be board certified, or board-eligible with certification obtained within 6 months, in Radiation Therapy Technology by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
• Must hold, without interruption, current license as required by the State of Florida for Radiation Therapy Technology.
• Must obtain BCLS certification within 6 months of employment and continually maintain certification.

Responsibilities

• Deliver radiation therapy treatments and perform simulations in an inpatient and outpatient setting.
• Participate in the department's Quality Assurance program and mentor peers, new colleagues and students.
