Radiation Therapist I/II – Radiation Oncology (Lancaster/Antelope Valley) (Full Time) - Eligible for $10,000 sign on bonus!

Join our team as a Radiation Therapist I/II, where you will play a vital role in delivering radiation therapy to patients according to physician prescriptions and established standards. Your responsibilities may include procedures such as IMRT, SRS, SBRT, TBI, TBE, High Dose Rate Brachytherapy, and CT-based simulations. In addition to patient care, you will provide clinical instruction to students, contributing to their education and development in the field. Your responsibilities include:
  1. Deliver a prescribed and planned course of radiation therapy to patients of all ages.
  2. Reinforce recommendations given to patients by healthcare professionals concerning reactions to treatment and care of radiated areas, prevention, or treatment of side effects.
  3. Perform simulation procedures as prescribed by physicians and assist in dosimetry procedures.
  4. Perform daily quality assurance checks on linear accelerators, reporting any variations in morning warm-up, and report improper equipment operation to appropriate personnel.
Your qualifications should include:
  • High School diploma or equivalent; Post High School Vocational/Specialized Training in an accredited Radiation Therapy Education Program.
  • 0-3 years of related experience, depending on training.
  • Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology course plus radiation therapy course OR Graduate of an accredited Bachelor of Science in Radiation Therapy Program.
  • Licensed by the California State Department of Health (Certified in Radiation Therapy).
  • Certification by the ARRT – in Radiation Therapy CRT.
  • BLS or CPR certification.
  • Note: Candidates with 3+ years of experience may be eligible for Radiation Therapist II (Pay Range: $58.561 - $73.2021 - $87.8425/hr).
