Job summary

AdventHealth Shawnee Mission is seeking a Radiation Therapist to evaluate prescribed imaging, verify treatment parameters, and document in the patient record within 24 hours. You will perform morning QA, ensure equipment operation per policy, and participate in on-call coverage as required.

Required AMA-approved Radiation Therapy program completion and CRT, RT(R) ARRRT certification, and BLS. The role includes student supervision and routine treatment planning support in a faith-based health

Qualifications

• Must be computer literate and able to use EHR and record-and-verify systems.
• Knowledge of anatomical structures for localization.
• Technical skills to implement treatment plans proposed by Radiation Oncologists.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate prescribed imaging and make changes within 24 hours; document in the patient record.
• Verify treatment parameters, doses, and equipment in the record-and-verify system.
• Perform 2D treatment calculations and QA on the treatment unit; assist in education experiences for students.
