Job summary

Sentara Rockingham Medical Center Hahn Cancer Center is seeking a Radiation Therapist to support a flexi schedule with day shifts. The role includes delivering external beam radiotherapy and brachytherapy, with patient simulations and collaboration with physicians and care teams.

New graduates start as Radiation Therapist I with board eligibility within 6 months; ARRT Radiation Therapy certification and BLS are required.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Radiation Therapy is required.
• ARRT Radiation Therapy (T) certification is required.
• BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver external beam radiotherapy including (3D, IMRT, SRS/SBRT)
• Deliver brachytherapy treatment
• Perform patient simulations; prepare immobilization, treatment, and protection devices
• Review patient records for accuracy
• Act as liaison with physician and supportive care personnel
• Maintain patient records, reports, and files

Overview: Sentara Rockingham Medical Center Hahn Cancer Center is hiring a Radiation Therapist - Flexi ScheduleDays, 8- 16 hrs per pay period - 8 hr shifts M-F

• Deliver external beam radiotherapy to include (3D, IMRT, SRS/SBRT)
• Deliver brachytherapy treatment
• Perform patient simulations; preparing equipment, such as immobilization, treatment, and protection devices
• Reviewing patient records for accuracy
• Acting as liaison with physician and supportive care personnel
• Maintaining patient records, reports, and files

All new graduates will remain Radiation Therapist I for the first 2 years of employment and are required to pass boards within 6 months of hire.

Experience

Prior related experience is Preferred

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay range for full-time employment is $44.05 - $65.34 hourly.

Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Compensation within the range may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs.
