Job summary

Sentara RMH Medical Center in Harrisonburg, VA seeks a licensed Physical Therapist to assess, plan, and participate in rehabilitation programs that improve mobility and relieve pain. You will educate patients and caregivers and supervise care provided by the care team.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Physical Therapy with a State license; a Doctorate is preferred and collaboration with multidisciplinary staff is essential.

Provides age-appropriate education for clients and caregivers. Supervise and assume responsibility for care provided by identified team members.

Experience

Performs modalities/therapeutic interventions in accordance with accepted standards of care and department policies and procedures. Provides effective instruction to the patient and family through standardized educational programs and/or individualized training. Initiate, develop, and maintain collaborative interactions with internal and external team members, patients, and family members to improve patient outcomes. Productive and efficient in daily operations. Selects and performs the appropriate assessment procedures. Establishes and updates formal plan of care to address individual patient needs.
