Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a Radiation Therapist for the Elyria Cancer Center in Lorain County. The role supports daily treatment operations, patient care, and adherence to radiation safety standards under supervision of the Radiation Oncologist, Physicist, and Manager.

Requirements include state licensure, ARRT Radiation Oncology Certification, CPR, and preferred experience in Radiation Therapy and CT Simulation. Full-time schedule with day shifts and potential weekend/holiday coverage.

Qualifications

• Licensure to practice Radiation Oncology in the state.
• ARRT Radiation Oncology Certification.
• CPR Certification is required.
• 1 year experience in Radiation Therapy and CT Simulation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up treatment rooms, devices and parameters as ordered by the Radiation Oncologist.
• Identify patients and monitor them during treatment.
• Reinforce instructions and maintain patient markings.
• Position patients according to prescriptions with physical effort and focus.
• Coordinate treatment area activities and scheduling.
• Document thoroughly in treatment records.
• Perform simulations, brachytherapy procedures, and daily quality checks on equipment.
