Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking a Radiation Therapist at the Elyria Cancer Center to oversee daily treatment operations, ensuring high-quality patient care and adherence to safety standards. You will work under guidance from Radiation Oncologists, Physicists, and Managers to deliver patient-focused services.

The role requires setup, patient positioning, treatment documentation, and collaboration with the team to support hospital objectives.

Responsibilities

• Set up treatment rooms, devices and parameters as ordered by Radiation Oncologist.
• Identify and monitor patients during treatment.
• Reinforce instructions and maintain patient markings.
• Position patients according to prescriptions; perform physical tasks.
• Coordinate treatment area activities and scheduling.
• Document thoroughly in treatment records.
• Perform simulations, brachytherapy procedures, and daily quality checks on equipment.
• Maintain equipment and observe radiation safety practices.
