Job summary

Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah, GA is seeking a Radiation Therapist to join a multidisciplinary team responsible for delivering precise radiation therapy to patients. The role involves collaboration with the Radiation Oncologist, Chief Radiation Therapist, Physicist and other therapists to ensure safe treatment delivery.

The position requires ARRT-T or ARRT-R certification (or a relevant Associate/Bachelor's degree) and Basic Life Support within 30 days of start.

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• ARRT-R Radiography, or ARRT-T Radiation Therapy, or Associate Degree, or Bachelors Degree

Responsibilities

• The Radiation Therapist works with the Radiation Oncologist, Chief Radiation Therapist, Physicist and other therapists to deliver safe and accurate radiation therapy.
• Interacts with patients, families, physicians and nursing/other staff, serving as a liaison between disciplines.
• Assists the Chief Radiation Therapist with administrative functions and adheres to unit, department and institution policies.

Job Summary And Qualifications

The Radiation Therapist works in conjunction with the Radiation Oncologist, Chief Radiation therapist, Physicist and other radiation therapists to assure safe and accurate deliver of radiation therapy to patients. He/she influences the care delivery system by interacting with the patient, family, physician, radiation therapist, appropriate nursing staff, and ancillary departments acting as a liaison between disciplines as necessary. He/she assists the Chief Radiation Therapist with administrative functions as necessary. He/she will adhere to all policies, procedures, and standards of the assigned unit, department, and institution.

What qualifications you will need:
