Job summary

Methodist Hospital in Minnesota seeks a Radiation Therapist to join our team. The staff member administers ionizing radiation to patients under the prescription of the Radiation Oncologist and participates in treatment setup and QA. The role supports care for patients and families every day.

Casual Monday - Friday schedule on site. Requires ARRT (T) certification or board eligibility within 6 months, with ongoing CEUs and familiarity with ARIA, Varian TrueBeam, and CT simulation tools.

Qualifications

• Completion of at least 2 academic years of post-secondary education in Radiation Therapy.
• Board eligible and ARRT (T) certification required within 6 months of hire; CEU credits must be maintained.
• Experience with ARIA, Varian TrueBeam, imaging and planning equipment.

Responsibilities

• Administers ionizing radiation to patients per prescription and oncologist instructions.
• Performs treatment setup, patient positioning and safety checks.
• Contributes to QA, charting and coordinating care with the Radiation Oncologist.

Position Summary

The staff Radiation Therapist administers ionizing radiation to the patient in accordance with the prescription and instruction of the Radiation Oncologist.

Required Qualifications

• Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination:
  • Completion of at least 2 academic years of post-secondary education in the field of Radiation Therapy.
• Licensure/ Registration/ Certification:
  • Board eligible and ARRT (T) Certification successfully completed within 6 months of hire required.
  • Must maintain CEU credits as required by the ARRT.
• Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • ARIA Record and verify system, Varian TrueBeam, Varian 21ix with onboard imaging, Phillips Big Bore CT simulator, Huestis Block Cutter
