Job summary

Methodist Hospital is hiring a Radiation Therapist to join our team and support patient treatment. The staff therapist administers ionizing radiation according to the Radiation Oncologist's prescription and instructions.

The role offers a casual Monday - Friday schedule and requires ARRT (T) certification within 6 months of hire, plus ongoing CEU maintenance and familiarity with ARIA, Varian TrueBeam, and CT simulation systems.

Qualifications

• Completion of at least 2 academic years of post-secondary education in Radiation Therapy.
• Board eligible and ARRT (T) Certification within 6 months of hire.
• Must maintain CEU credits as required by ARRT.

Responsibilities

• Administers ionizing radiation to the patient per prescription.
• Operates ARIA and Varian equipment with imaging capabilities.
• Collaborates with Radiation Oncologist to ensure treatment accuracy.

Position Summary:

The staff Radiation Therapist administers ionizing radiation to the patient in accordance with the prescription and instruction of the Radiation Oncologist.

Work Schedule:

Casual Monday - Friday

Required Qualifications:

• Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination:
  • Completion of at least 2 academic years of post-secondary education in the field of Radiation Therapy.
• Licensure/ Registration/ Certification:
  • Board eligible and ARRT (T) Certification successfully completed within 6 months of hire required.
  • Must maintain CEU credits as required by the ARRT.
• Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • ARIA Record and verify system, Varian TrueBeam, Varian 21ix with onboard imaging, Phillips Big Bore CT simulator, Huestis Block Cutter
