Job summary

Compass Oncology’s West Cancer Center in Tigard, OR is seeking a Radiation Therapist to join the RadOnc care team. You will administer treatments under direct supervision, prepare molds, and assist Radiation Oncologists in planning and delivery of therapy.

This full‑time role requires ARRT certification and Oregon licensure, with 1–3 years clinical experience preferred. Responsibilities include accurate treatment delivery, EMR entry, block and mold fabrication, and collaboration with the

  • ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy is required.

Overview

Compass Oncology – the Pacific Northwest’s largest privately owned cancer care group – offers a myriad of treatments and services to their patients. At our West Cancer Center our patients can receive Radiation Oncology services. Our dedicated RadOnc team is looking for a Radiation Therapist to become their newest member. As an integral part of the RadOnc care team, the Radiation Therapist would assist with the administration of radiation treatments to our patients, including scheduling, making custom molds, and aiding the Radiation Oncologists in the treatment of our patients.

Employment Details

Employment type: Full Time, 40 hours Monday to Friday

Location: Tigard (West Cancer Center)

Salary range: $45.66 – $73.28 per hour (final offer determined by experience, qualifications, and equity considerations)

Job Scope

Under direct supervision, administers radiation therapy treatments to patients. Accuracy in positioning the beam of radiation to correspond with the designated tumor volume and accurately delivering the prescribed dose are paramount. Supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, including the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.

Responsibilities
  • Accurately delivers and records radiation therapy treatments under the direction of a radiation oncologist and chief radiation therapist.
  • Accurately enters and maintains patient treatment parameters into the electronic medical record.
  • Participates in clinical instruction of newly hired therapists and students.
  • Assists in maintaining the patient appointment schedule and submitting correct billing information.
  • Accurately cuts blocks when applicable.
  • Accurately makes custom molds.
  • Accurately completes simple MU calculations.
  • Accurately interprets a computerized treatment plan.
  • Maintains a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
Qualifications
  • Education: Graduation from an accredited radiation therapy technology program.
  • Certification: ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy required.
  • Licensure: Must hold a valid state license for radiation therapy in Oregon.
  • Experience: 1–3 years of clinical experience preferred; highly motivated new graduates with a commitment to excellence and growth are encouraged to apply.

Work Environment

The work environment may include exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, medical preparations, and other conditions common to an oncology/hematology clinic environment. Work will involve in‑person interaction with co‑workers, management, and clients. Work may require minimal travel by automobile to office sites.
