Job summary

UP Health System Marquette is seeking a Radiation Therapist 1.0 FTE Days in the Oncology Department. The role delivers the prescribed planned course of radiation therapy with minimal supervision, creates and executes patient treatment schedules, and supports safety and accuracy in treatment delivery.

This position includes a $7,500 sign-on bonus (based on eligibility). Schedule: M-F 8am-4:30pm with rotating weekend on call; requires ARRT certification and an Associate's Degree, with

Qualifications

• Current ARRT Certification is required.
• Associate's Degree is required.
• Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (BLS-HCP) is required.

Responsibilities

• Delivers the prescribed radiation therapy with minimal supervision.
• Creates and executes patient treatment schedules.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition; fabricates immobilization devices and blocks, custom blocks, bolus, etc.
• Observes radiation safety measures for patient and personnel.
• Maintains storage areas with required supply levels and equipment.
• Disassembles, cleans, and sterilizes equipment, and performs preventative maintenance and calibration of machines.
• Maintains records of daily treatment and other records as required.
• Simulates patients according to Radiation Oncologist's instruction.

What we're looking for

Applicants should have a current state ARRT Certification and an Associate's Degree. Additional requirements include:

• ARRT (T) Radiation Therapy Registry
• Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (BLS-HCP)
• Varian, TrueBeam and ARIA experience preferred
