Radiation Therapist – La Crosse, WI

Emplify Health by Gundersen is seeking a dedicated full‑time Radiation Therapist for our La Crosse Radiation Oncology team.

Responsibilities

• Operate radiation therapy equipment to administer prescribed doses of ionizing radiation under the direction of the Radiation Oncologist.
• Plan and simulate treatments, including routine beam‑on time and monitor‑setting calculations, and have them reviewed by the Oncologist and Radiation Physicist.
• Maintain daily treatment schedules in cooperation with other therapists and the department secretary.
• Perform daily equipment warm‑ups, monitor equipment status, and maintain supplies in the treatment room, simulator room, and film stock.
• Assist in organizing the department’s patient workflow and operational requirements.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Radiotherapy Technology from an accredited school or 120 credit hours toward a JCERT‑accredited bachelor program.
• Certification as an American Registry of Radiologic Technologists – Radiation Therapy (ARRT‑T) within 3 months of hire.
• Current Infant‑Adult Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers from AHA or Red Cross.
• Strong customer‑service and communication skills; ability to provide compassionate, empathetic care.
• Prior radiation therapy experience preferred, but not required.

Compensation & Benefits

• Starting rate of $34.02 per hour, commensurate with experience.
• Sign‑on bonus of $4,500 ($2,250 at start, $2,250 after 1 year).
• Full‑time, 72 hours biweekly (0.9FTE); 8‑hour day shifts Monday‑Friday.
