Job summary

CaroMont Health in Gastonia, NC is hiring for full-time and part-time Radiation Therapist positions. You will perform accurate simulation and delivery of ionizing radiation, adhere to safety guidelines, and support patient care under the direction of a radiation oncologist.

Qualifications include ARRT registration or eligible, BLS, and strong organizational and communication skills. On-call duties may be required. Sign-on bonus of $10,000 is offered along with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Registered or registry eligible by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• Must achieve registered status within one year of start date.
• BLS certification required.
• Knowledge of radiation therapy treatment techniques and procedures.
• Strong organization, clinical, communication, and customer service skills.
• Ability to take after hours call as assigned.

Responsibilities

Job Summary

Performs accurate simulation and/or delivery of prescribed ionizing therapeutic radiation under the direction of a radiation oncologist and adhering to radiation safety guidelines using a variety of complex techniques and equipment. Performs daily equipment warm-up and quality assurance procedures. Prepares immobilization devices. Maintains patients' charts and records data, ensuring proper identification, documentation, routing, and confidentiality. May participate in research projects impacting patient care areas. Performs other related responsibilities as required

Qualifications

• Registered or registry eligible by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.

• At least 1 year of work experience is preferred.
• BLS required.
• Must have knowledge of radiation therapy treatment techniques and procedures.
• Must have strong organization, clinical, communication, and customer service skills.
• Ability to take after hour call as assigned.
