Job summary

Mid Florida Hematology and Oncology Centers PA seeks a skilled Radiation Therapist to join our dedicated team at a freestanding cancer center in Orange City, FL. You will administer prescribed radiation treatments, work with oncologists and physicists, and ensure patient safety and comfort throughout treatment.

The role requires ARRT certification, Florida RT (T) license, and 3+ years of experience. Proficiency with Varian equipment and ARIA is expected, with a focus on high-quality patient care

Qualifications

  • Active State of Florida RT (T) license required.
  • ARRT Certification in Radiation Therapy required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of clinical experience as a Radiation Therapist preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver prescribed radiation therapy treatments accurately and safely.
  • Utilize 3D Conformal, IMRT, IGRT, and SBRT techniques.
  • Operate Varian accelerators and manage patient records in ARIA.
  • Position and monitor patients, explain procedures, and ensure comfort.
  • Perform daily QA checks and maintain treatment logs.

Our team values the work components of every member to create a culture of people helping people and making a difference in our lives and those we serve.Job Description:Mid Florida Hematology and Oncology Centers PA is seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Radiation Therapist (ARRT) to join our dedicated radiation therapy team at our freestanding cancer treatment center in Orange City, FL.In this role, you will work closely with our Radiation Oncologists and multidisciplinary care team to deliver precise, high-quality radiation treatments using state-of-the-art technology, providing exceptional support and care to oncology patients throughout their treatment journey.Key ResponsibilitiesTreatment Delivery: Administer prescribed radiation therapy treatments accurately and safely following physician orders and established protocol.Advanced Technology & Techniques: Proficiently utilize advanced treatment techniques, including 3D Conformal, IMRT, IGRT, and SBRT.EHR & Verification: Operate Varian linear accelerators and manage patient records and verification seamlessly within ARIA.Patient Care & Communication: Position and monitor patients during treatment, explain procedures, address patient concerns, and ensure physical comfort and safety.Quality Assurance: Perform daily QA checks, maintain accurate treatment logs, and adhere strictly to radiation safety guidelines.Team Collaboration: Collaborate with radiation oncologists, medical physicists, dosimetrists, and clinical staff to ensure seamless patient care workflows.Qualifications & RequirementsEducation & Credentials:Active State of Florida R.T.
