Job summary

Cancer Care Centers of Brevard, a member of The US Oncology Network, seeks a PRN Radiation Therapist to join our oncology team on the Space Coast of Florida. You will provide high-quality radiation therapy under supervision, contributing to patient-centered care with advanced technology.

Qualified candidates have ARRT certification, state licensure, and 0–5+ years RTT experience depending on level. This PRN role offers growth and collaboration within a leading community cancer program.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited radiation therapy technology program.
• ARRT certification required.
• Must hold valid state license for radiation therapy.

Responsibilities

• Delivers and records radiation therapy treatments under the direction of a radiation oncologist and chief radiation therapist.
• Enters and maintains patient treatment parameters into the electronic medical record.
• Assists in the training of newly hired therapists and students.
• Maintains patient appointment schedule and submits correct billing information.
• Cuts blocks when applicable and makes custom molds.
• Interprets computerized treatment plans and maintains a clean, safe work environment.

Schedule

• PRN (as needed)
• Coverage for PTO, leaves of absence, and department staffing needs
• Monday through Friday clinic hours
• No weekends

SCOPE:

Under direct supervision, administers radiation therapy treatments to patients. Accuracy in positioning the beam of radiation to correspond with the designated tumor volume and accurately delivering the prescribed dose are paramount job functions. Supports and adheres to The US Oncology Compliance Program, including the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Accurately delivers and records radiation therapy treatments under the direction of a radiation oncologist and chief radiation therapist.
• Accurately enters and maintains patient treatment parameters into electronic medical record.
• Participates in clinical instruction of newly hired therapists and students.
• Assists in maintaining patient appointment schedule and submitting correct billing information.
• Accurately cuts blocks, when applicable.
• Accurately makes custom molds.
• Accurately completes simple mu calculations.
• Accurately interprets a computerized treatment plan.
• Maintains clean, safe, and organized work environment.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Graduate of an accredited radiation therapy technology program.
• ARRT certification required.
• Must hold valid state license for radiation therapy.
• Radiation Therapist I : requires 0-3 years experience actively practicing as an RTT.
• Radiation Therapist II : requires 3-5 years of experience actively practicing as an RTT.
• Senior Radiation Therapist : requires 5+ years of experience actively practicing as an RTT.
