Cancer Care Centers of Brevard, part of The US Oncology Network, seeks a PRN Radiation Therapist to join our oncology team on Florida's Space Coast.

Under direct supervision, you will administer radiation therapy, verify treatment parameters in EMR, and support block/mold preparation while collaborating with physicians and staff. This role emphasizes patient care and accuracy in dose delivery.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited radiation therapy technology program.
• ARRT certification required.
• Must hold valid state license for radiation therapy.
• Radiation Therapist I: 0–3 years active RTT experience.
• Radiation Therapist II: 3–5 years active RTT experience.
• Senior Radiation Therapist: 5+ years active RTT experience.

Responsibilities

• Delivers and records radiation therapy treatments under supervision.
• Enters and maintains patient treatment parameters in the EMR.
• Mentors new therapists and students.
• Maintains patient scheduling and accurate billing data.
• Cuts blocks and makes custom molds when needed.
• Interprets computerized treatment plans to ensure proper dosing.
• Keeps a clean, safe, and organized work area.

Education

Graduation from accredited radiation therapy program

ARRT certification

State license in radiation therapy

RTT level experience (I/II/Senior) 0-3/3-5/5+ years

Schedule

• PRN (as needed)
• Coverage for PTO, leaves of absence, and department staffing needs
• Monday through Friday clinic hours

SCOPE: Under direct supervision, administers radiation therapy treatments to patients. Accuracy in positioning the beam of radiation to correspond with the designated tumor volume and accurately delivering the prescribed dose are paramount job functions. Supports and adheres to The US Oncology Compliance Program, including the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Accurately delivers and records radiation therapy treatments under the direction of a radiation oncologist and chief radiation therapist.
• Accurately enters and maintains patient treatment parameters into electronic medical record.
• Participates in clinical instruction of newly hired therapists and students.
• Assists in maintaining patient appointment schedule and submitting correct billing information.
• Accurately cuts blocks, when applicable.
• Accurately makes custom molds.
• Accurately completes simple mu calculations.
• Accurately interprets a computerized treatment plan.
• Maintains clean, safe, and organized work environment.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Graduate of an accredited radiation therapy technology program.
• ARRT certification required.
• Must hold valid state license for radiation therapy.
• Radiation Therapist I : requires 0-3 years experience actively practicing as an RTT.
• Radiation Therapist II : requires 3-5 years of experience actively practicing as an RTT.
• Senior Radiation Therapist : requires 5+ years of experience actively practicing as an RTT.
