Job summary

Halifax Health is seeking a qualified Radiation Therapist to administer ionizing radiation per treatment plans under the supervision of a Radiation Oncologist. You will assess patients' medical and emotional needs daily and promptly inform physicians and nursing staff of any changes.

Graduate of a JRCERT-accredited program and ARRT-certified, you must hold a Florida license to practice therapy. This role supports the health system's mission across multiple facilities and patient populations.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a JRCERT accredited school of Radiation Therapy.
• Certified by ARRT as Radiation Therapist.
• Licensed in the State of Florida to work in therapy.

Responsibilities

• Apply ionizing radiation in accordance with the prescribed treatment plan under the direction of a Radiation Oncologist.
• Assess patients' medical and emotional needs daily and communicate changes to physicians and nursing staff.

Day (United States of America) Radiation Therapist

Applies ionizing radiation in the treatment of patients under the direction and upon the prescribed treatment plan of a Radiation Oncologist (M.D.) to pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients. Renders patient care which requires a high degree of responsibility and technical skills to insure the proper treatment and well-being of the patient.

Assesses patients medical and emotional needs on a daily basis and notifies physicians and nursing staff of any changes.

• Graduate of a JRCERT accredited school of Radiation Therapy.
• Certified by A.R.R.T. as a Radiation Therapist and licensed in the State of FL. to work in therapy.
