Job summary

TalentBurst is seeking a Radiation Therapist for an outpatient cancer clinic in Charlotte, NC. The role involves day shifts, 8 hours per day, 13-week contract starting 10/19/2026, with on-site work and weekend call as needed.

You will operate Varian Truebeam linear accelerators, support a busy clinic seeing 60–100 patients per day, and must have ARRT-T and BLS credentials. Competitive benefits offered.

• Float to other Charlotte radiation therapy sites as needed.

Day Shift 8 hours/day 5 days/week

Title: Radiation Therapist

Location: Charlotte North Carolina 28204

Duration: 13 Weeks

Shift: 8hr Day Shift - 40

Shift Information: 0800 - 1700

Clinical Interviewing: yes - manager has final approval

On Call, Call Back Requirements: Weekend call is rotated amongst the entire team and frequency is based on staffing numbers.

Weekend Rotation: Weekend rotations are possible but unlikely

Holiday Requirements: The department is closed on holidays.

Floating Requirements: Potentially, may be needed to float to other Radiation Therapy sites in greater Charlotte – manager approval if not comfortable with this

About Facility:

• Outpatient Cancer Clinic
• Radius rule: Traveler's permanent address must be 50 miles outside of home unit

Department Information:

• Average patients/day: Typically, we treat anywhere from 60 – 100 patient per day
  • Department runs 3 machines daily

Minimum Years of Experience required: 2 years

• Will you accept a first-time traveler: Yes

Patient Types/Common Diagnoses:

• Outpatient ambulatory cancer patients requiring radiation therapy

Required License, National Certification, Certs (BLS, ACLS, etc.), or other position specific requirements such as Driver's License and/or Insurance:

• BLS
• Radiotherapy Technologist (ARRT-T)

Skills required:

• Experience with the equipment specified below and various cancer diagnoses (seek manager approval otherwise)
• Must be proficient in the use of Varian Truebeam Linear Accelerators

Support within the Department:

• Leadership support
• Approximately 12 Therapists working per shift

Technology/Equipment:

• EMR: EPIC/Aria
• Department specific Equipment: Must be proficient in the use of Varian Truebeam Linear Accelerators

Floating: If yes, where:

• Potentially, may be needed to float to other Radiation Therapy sites in greater Charlotte – manager approval if not comfortable with this

Orientation (facility and unit):

• NEO
• 2 days departmental

Scheduling:

• Weekend rotation: Weekend rotations are possible but unlikely
• On call: If so, what is that schedule: Weekend call is rotated amongst the entire team and frequency is based on staffing numbers.
• Holiday Expectations: The department is closed on holidays.
• RTO: Manager approval
• Shift times: M-F/8a-430p
