Job summary

Suburban Hospital, part of Johns Hopkins Medicine, is seeking a Radiation Therapy Technologist to perform ionizing radiation procedures with a focus on patient safety and treatment accuracy.

You will utilize CT simulation and linear accelerator equipment, under supervision, contributing to a high-quality cancer care program within the Bethesda community.

Qualifications

• ARRT registration required.
• Current CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Operate radiation oncology equipment (CT simulator, linear accelerator, QA dosimeters) per prescription.
• Prepare and apply ionizing radiation to patients under supervision of Radiation Oncologist and Director/Chief Therapist.

Position Summary:

Prepares and applies ionizing radiation to the patient in accordance with the prescription and instruction of the Radiation Oncologist and under the general supervision of the Director and Chief Therapist. Operates all Radiation Oncology related equipment, i.e. CT simulator, linear accelerator, QA dosimeters, diode system, and various computer equipment.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
• Current CPR Certification required.
