Baptist Memorial Health in Memphis seeks a Radiologic Technologist to operate radiology equipment and perform diagnostic procedures as prescribed by physicians, following established standards.

The role requires applying correct technique and positioning, documenting findings, and maintaining high safety and quality in patient care within hospital protocols.

Qualifications

• Experience through completing a Radiology Technology Program.
• ARRT certification or eligible; BLS within 14 days; state licensure as required.

Responsibilities

• Performs radiologic procedures using appropriate technical and safety methods as requested by a licensed physician.
• Exercise judgment in selecting and computing settings for each patient.
• Develop an appropriate procedure/treatment plan.
• Implements procedure/treatment plan utilizing established hospital protocols/guidelines.
• Completes documentation to comply with hospital policies and procedures.
• Maintains equipment, rooms, and work areas in a neat and safe condition to ensure the safety of patients and staff.
• Participates in hospital and departmental performance improvement activities to ensure that patient care is consistent with established standards.
• Completes assigned goals.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Performs radiologic procedures using appropriate technical and safety method as requested by a licensed physician.
• Exercise judgement in selecting and computing settings for each patient.
• Develop an appropriate procedure/treatment plan.
• Implements procedure/treatment plan utilizing established hospital protocols/guidelines.
• Completes documentation as required to comply with hospital policies and procedures.
• Maintains equipment, procedure/treatment rooms, and work areas in a neat and safe condition to ensure the safety of patients and staff.

Specifications

Experience

Minimum Required

• Experience as obtained through the completion of a Radiology Technology Program.

Preferred/Desired

• Associates degree in related field

Education

Minimum Required

• Completion of a formal education program in radiography accredited by a mechanism acceptable to ARRT. Registered by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists with current Registry in Radiography ARRT(R) or new graduate who is waiting to take the registry.

Licensure

Minimum Required

• ARRT(R); BLS Certification within 14 days of hire. New graduate who will obtain required registry within 120 days of hire. State license as required.
