Temple University’s Environmental Health and Safety team is seeking an Associate Health and Safety Radiation Specialist to support the university radiation safety program and related safety areas. The role offers a hybrid on-campus/remote arrangement and a collaborative, inclusive work culture.

The candidate will conduct health physics surveys, provide training, and help ensure compliance with applicable standards and regulations.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• At least three years of experience in operational health physics, biology, chemistry, industrial hygiene, occupational health and safety, or a related field.

Responsabilidades

• Provides technical and advisory support for the university radiation safety program and related safety areas.
• Conducts health physics surveys and inspections to identify hazardous conditions, and investigates incidents.
• Provides training and consultation on procedures, controls, codes, regulations, and policies.
• Performs routine radiological surveys and sampling for exposure and compliance.
• Maintains records and participates in emergency response when needed.
