Job summary

Sentara Health in Norfolk, VA is seeking a Radiation Physicist to join a collaborative team of radiation oncologists, physicists, dosimetrists and therapists. The role includes QA/QC, regulatory compliance, and support for treatment planning and delivery.

The ideal candidate will have a Master’s Degree, CAMPEP-certified or ABR-eligible, and 10+ years of physics experience. A sign-on bonus up to $25,000 is available along with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree required.
• CAMPEP-accredited Medical Physics certificate required when PhD is in a field other than Medical Physics.
• ABR eligible.
• BLS certification required.
• 10+ years physicist experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality therapeutic medical physics support within a radiation oncology team.
• Perform system QA/QC per AAPM/ASTRO/ACR/ACRO standards and maintain records.
• Manage regulatory tasks and licenses for radiation safety.
• Assist with treatment planning and delivery, and support new technologies.
