Job summary

Northern Light A.R. Gould Hospital in Presque Isle, ME is seeking a Radiation Oncology Therapist to perform simulations, treatment setups, and radiation therapy on the linear accelerator. The role supports daily departmental operations, patient care, quality improvement, and record keeping.

Required are ARRT Radiation Therapy registration and Maine licensure; 2–5 years experience preferred. This is a full-time position with a 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM schedule, and a sign-on bonus may be available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of AMA-approved radiation oncology training.
• Current ARRT registration in Radiation Therapy (or eligibility) and Maine licensure as required by the Medical Radiation Health and Safety Act.
• Two to five years of experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform simulations, treatment setups, and radiation therapy on the linear accelerator.
• Maintain equipment and follow department and manufacturer recommendations.
• Educate patients about their treatment course and orientation to the process.
• Collaborate with co-workers, staff, patients, and visitors in a courteous manner.
• Maintain knowledge of radiation oncology therapy and participate in continuing education.
• Support Tumor Conferences and Radiation Oncology Conferences with the Radiation Oncologist.
