Job summary

NC State University’s CVM Teaching Hospital seeks a Veterinary Radiation Oncology Therapist to coordinate and deliver radiation therapy for canine and feline patients. You will work with students and clinicians, ensure safe anesthesia support, imaging, and treatment planning, and help manage diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.

The role requires an AVMA‑accredited veterinary technician background, RVT licensure or eligibility, and a commitment to a fast-paced teaching environment with diverse

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 2 years of medical diagnostics experience.
• Graduation from an AVMA accredited veterinary technician program is required.
• License or certification as RVT or equivalent is expected.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and deliver radiation therapy for patients as primary contact.
• Assist in admissions, updates, and routine client communications.
• Perform anesthesia support, CT imaging, and LINAC setup/delivery.
• Monitor vitals and provide post-anesthesia care and pain management.
• Coordinate equipment checks and work with related hospital teams.
