Job summary

Qualifications

• RN license
• ONC certification or ability to obtain within 24 months
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Empathy for patients and caregivers
• Problem-solving and critical thinking
• Ability to coordinate clinical care
• Commitment to quality improvement and evidence-based practice
• Collaborative team member
• Current BLS
• ACLS for offices performing procedures
• Oncology experience
• Minimum 1 year as RN

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to radiation oncology patients
• Collaborate with oncologists and multidisciplinary team
• Assist with procedures and treatments, including sedation where applicable
• Administer medications per policy and procedure
• Perform nursing observations and documentation per policy
• Maintain patient education and emotional support for patients and families
• Mentor junior staff and students
• Adhere to HIPAA and infection control policies
• Attend OSHA/Biomedical updates and apply in clinical setting
• Develop professional relationships and contribute to team goals
• Demonstrate a positive, can-do attitude
