Responsibilities

• Provide direct medical evaluation, diagnosis, and care for a defined patient population.
• Prescribe medications and treatment regimens as appropriate.
• Refer patients to specialists and related care components as needed.
• Train and supervise medical students and residents in specialty activities.
• Manage daily operations of a medical program or unit as assigned.
• Coordinate patient care activities with nursing and support staff.
• Follow departmental policies, safety and infection control standards.
• Participate in health promotion and education programs as appropriate.
• Maintain departmental productivity and faculty status per policy.
