Qualifications

  • Active or eligible license in Arizona.
  • Fellowship in Brachytherapy preferred.

Job description

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Radiation Oncologist, you will help gynecologic oncology patients and others requiring radiation therapy access leading‑edge, evidence‑based treatments, particularly in brachytherapy so they can achieve effective cancer management and improved outcomes.

In this role, you will provide expert medical care in radiation oncology, with a focus on expanding our gynecologic oncology program and brachytherapy services. You will diagnose, treat, develop personalized care plans, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and contribute to an additional specialty area like lymphoma, breast, benign conditions, or radiopharmaceuticals.

To be successful in this role, you must be a Board‑Certified or Board‑Eligible Radiation Oncologist with an AZ Medical License (or eligibility), a strong interest in brachytherapy (fellowship a plus), a passion for clinical excellence, and a commitment to research, teaching, and Dignity Health's mission.

Job Requirements
Required
  • Active or eligible license in the state of Arizona
  • Fellowship in Brachytherapy is a plus though not required if significant experience in training/recent practice
  • Board Certified in Radiation Oncology (or board eligible for new graduates)
  • Have the ability to achieve full and unrestricted hospital/surgical privileges at SJHMC and Dignity Health Arizona hospitals
  • Have an interest in clinical research and teaching

Dignity Health Cancer Institute at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center seeks to employ a full‑time radiation oncologist interested in further developing a gynecologic oncology program with an emphasis on brachytherapy. This program currently serves as the premier location for gynecologic brachytherapy with anesthesia capabilities and we are looking to expand this program within the Phoenix area. Our current team has expertise in brachytherapy and our goal is to augment this team with a collaborative, enthusiastic, and like‑minded individual focused on program development within the context of excellent patient care. Additionally, this candidate would also have the opportunity to join and grow our lymphoma, breast, benign, and radiopharmaceutical programs depending on their preference and interests.
