Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Faculty Physician, in alignment with the Dignity Health Cancer Institute (DHCI), Dignity Health Medical Group (DHMG), and Creighton School of Medicine, you will will be instrumental in delivering comprehensive, cutting-edge surgical care for advanced surgical management of breast cancer. This role offers the exciting opportunity to work within a collaborative, multi-disciplinary environment where you will partner with medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, pathologists, plastic surgeons, genetic counselors, and other specialists to develop individualized treatment plans and ensure the best possible patient outcomes.

Every day you will apply your specialized expertise to deliver high-quality patient care, while actively contributing to the education and development of future medical professionals. This involves clinical excellence, mentorship, and adherence to the highest standards of medical practice and ethics.

To be successful in your role, you will be board certified or board eligible. We are looking for a surgeon who is not only adept at performing intricate oncologic resections but also committed to a holistic approach to patient care, encompassing pre-operative planning, post-operative management, and long-term surveillance. Ideal candidates will demonstrate a passion for innovation, a commitment to research and surgical advancements in their sub-specialties, and a track record of excellent communication with both patients and colleagues. Job Requirements

Required

  • Active or eligible license in the state of Arizona
  • Board Certified or board eligible (for new graduates)
  • Become an essential member of a team of physicians with the goal of building a top tier centrally located practice in Phoenix
  • Have the ability to achieve full and unrestricted hospital/surgical privileges at SJHMC and Dignity Health Arizona hospitals
  • Be passionate about providing clinically excellent, evidence-based care
  • Have an interest in clinical research and teaching
  • Willing to abide by and promote the mission and values of Dignity Health and CommonSpirit Health
  • Demonstrate the ability to develop effective and respectful relationships with colleagues, staff, patients and other persons from diverse backgrounds and cultures
