Job summary

Dignity Health Medical Group is seeking an Interventional Radiologist to join the Radiology Department at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Phoenix, offering inpatient, emergency, and outpatient imaging within a teaching environment.

You will perform a broad IR practice, educate residents and medical students, and contribute to research activities in an integrated care model.

Candidates must be board eligible or board certified in Interventional Radiology and hold an MD or DO with licensure in AZ (and NV).

Qualifications

  • Board eligible or board certified in Interventional Radiology (IR).
  • MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of an accredited IR Residency Program.
  • Active or eligible license in AZ and NV.

Responsibilities

  • Perform up to 100% IR with a broad case mix.
  • Educate IR residents, rotating residents, and medical students.
  • Contribute to academic activities and research in an integrated care model.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Interventional Radiologist you will join our Radiology Department at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Phoenix and work within a supportive Dignity Health Medical Group environment. The Radiology group provides our hospital with both inpatient, emergency, and outpatient imaging services. Our academic hospital provides teaching and research opportunities in our integrated care model.

In this role, you will practice up to 100% IR, manage a case load that includes a mix of interventional oncology, portal hypertension, venous/thromboembolic disease, dialysis interventions, lymphatic interventions and trauma in addition to general IR. You will educate diagnostic and interventional radiology residents, rotating residents and medical students.

To be successful in this role, you will be a board certified or board eligible Interventional Radiologist. You will demonstrate excellent clinical skills and have a dedication to delivering high-quality, compassionate care to patients. You will exhibit effective communication skills and thrive within a collegial and supportive environment.

  • Candidates must be committed to the IR clinical practice model
  • Research or similar academic activities are strongly encouraged
  • Call and shifts are distributed equally among 4 interventional radiologists
  • 2 Advanced Practice Providers support the service
  • Candidates encouraged to develop service lines of particular interest to them

Job Requirements

Required

  • Board-eligible/Board-certified
  • Active or eligible license in the state of Arizona and Nevada
  • Medical Doctor (M.D. or D.O.) degree from an accredited institution
  • Completion of an accredited Interventional Radiology Residency Program
  • Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Interventional Radiology by the American Board of Radiology (ABR)
