Job summary

St. Francis Hospital in Colorado Springs is seeking a Radiation Oncologist to deliver high-quality, patient-centered cancer care within a multidisciplinary team at Penrose‑St. Francis Health Services.

You will develop treatment plans, administer advanced radiation therapy, monitor side effects, and collaborate with referring physicians to optimize outcomes while upholding the highest standards of medical ethics.

Qualifications

• Doctorate (MD or DO)
• Successful completion of a residency or fellowship commensurate with area of specialty
• Active, unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Colorado
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in the appropriate specialty, by a board acceptable to Hospital
• Ability to obtain and maintain an unrestricted Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registration
• Ability to obtain Medical Staff Privileges within the Health system, at sponsoring institution

• Provide advanced radiation oncology services at or above customary practice standards in the community.
• Diagnose and treat cancer using radiation therapy techniques, tailored to individual patient needs.
• Develop comprehensive treatment plans, considering patient history, tumor characteristics, and overall health.
• Collaborate effectively with referring physicians, oncologists, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and holistic patient care.
• Monitor patient progress, manage side effects, and adjust treatment plans as necessary throughout the course of radiation therapy.
• Adhere to the standards and principles of medical ethics of the American Medical Association and all recognized associations or accrediting boards concerned with radiation oncology.

Pay Range

$220.31 - $324.41 /hour
