OU Health in Norman, OK seeks a Radiation Medical Physicist to provide physics support for radiation oncology. You will ensure safe, accurate delivery of therapy and optimize plans to maximize efficacy while minimizing side effects.

Collaborate with radiation oncologists, dosimetrists, and therapists to develop plans, perform dosimetric calculations, and implement QA programs. Strong knowledge of safety regulations and ABR eligibility is required.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in medical physics or related field required, PhD preferred.
• 0–3 years' experience in Radiation Medical Physicist or Medical Physicist role required.
• Board certified or board eligible with ABR.

Responsabilités

• Collaborate with oncologists and dosimetrists to optimize treatment plans.
• Use treatment planning software to ensure accurate dose distributions.
• Perform and oversee dosimetric calculations and dose measurements.
• Implement quality assurance programs for equipment and processes.
• Calibrate and QA checks on linear accelerators to ensure precise delivery.
• Coordinate maintenance and repairs to minimize downtime and ensure safety.
• Develop and enforce radiation safety protocols and staff training.
• Comply with state and federal radiation regulations.
