Job summary

OU Health in Tulsa, OK seeks a Medical Physicist to ensure clinical physics support for Radiation Oncology. The role emphasizes calibration, QA of treatment planning systems, and dosimetry across IMRT/3DCRT, SRS, and brachytherapy protocols.

The position requires a Master’s degree in Medical Physics or related field and at least one year of clinical experience or residency. Strong communication and MS Office proficiency are essential.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Medical Physics, Physics or related field.
• 1 year of clinical experience in radiation physics or 1 year of experience in approved clinical medical physics graduate/residency program.

Responsibilities

• Periodic calibration of radiation generators and sources; QA of radiation equipment, treatment planning and verification systems; acceptance testing and beam data measurement.
• Treatment planning for IMRT/3DCRT, plan verification, physics calculations and chart checks.
• Dose verification, In Vivo Dosimetry, imaging, immobilization and planning of procedures.
• Planning, QA and procedures for stereotactic radiosurgery (Gamma Knife and LINAC-based SRS; proton radiotherapy, unsealed sources, and brachytherapy).
• Second-check of shielding calculations and proctoring/teaching graduate students and junior physicists.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
