Job summary

AeroVironment, Inc. in Albuquerque, NM seeks an engineer with a strong background in radiation effects and electronics testing. You will plan, execute, and report radiation testing on advanced components, collaborating with cross-functional teams in a dynamic research environment.

Responsibilities include leading tests, designing PCBs and fixtures with Altium, analyzing data from GPUs and custom processors, and delivering technical presentations to stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • BS in Electrical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering or related field.
  • Laboratory experience with oscilloscopes, power analyzers, and multimeters.
  • PCB design and layout experience.
  • U.S. citizen with ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead testing and characterization of electronic components in radiation environments.
  • Develop test plans, configure hardware, and oversee data collection.
  • Design, assemble, and validate PCBs and test fixtures for radiation testing using Altium Designer or similar tools.
  • Analyze post-test data from GPUs and custom processors to evaluate performance.
  • Collaborate with project leads and engineers to define technical requirements and ensure test readiness.
  • Document project work, analyze results, and deliver regular status updates and presentations.
