Job summary

The Detective Technician at AMETEK's Advanced Measurement Technology unit in Oak Ridge, TN, builds and tests radiation detector systems, handles delicate components, and supports all phases of manufacturing and service.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree required.
• Intermediate-level experience with test equipment (oscilloscopes, voltmeters, etc.).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with fragile components.

Responsibilities

• Assemble parts for Detective systems and support production.
• Load germanium crystals and perform soldering/brazing as needed.
• Operate and maintain vacuum and leak-detection equipment; perform QC tests.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues affecting system performance.
