Job summary

Utah State University Space Dynamics Laboratory (SDL) is seeking a Student Engineer to assist engineers developing tactical sensor technologies focused on radar systems and RF hardware. The role offers hands-on experience across the development lifecycle, including design, modeling, procuring, assembling, integrating, and testing.

The student will perform data analysis, troubleshoot hardware, and support flight testing of radar systems, while participating in SDL's Student Scholar Program and

Qualifications

  • Must be enrolled as a student at Utah State University pursuing a degree in electrical engineering.
  • Must have at least one year remaining.
  • Must be able to work 15-20 hours per week during semesters and up to 40 hours per week during summer.
  • Experience or interest in electronics, computers, robotics, electromagnetics, digital logic, remote sensing, MATLAB, C++.
  • U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance.

  • Assist engineers developing tactical sensor technologies with radar systems and RF hardware.
  • Design, model, select components, procure, assemble, integrate, and test.
  • Perform data analysis, troubleshoot hardware, and support flight testing of radar systems.
