Job summary

RTX is seeking a Sentinel Radar Systems Engineer to join our Fullerton team. You will develop radar requirements, build high-fidelity simulations, and perform modeling and trade studies to evaluate system performance.

You will work in a multidisciplinary environment, supporting integration and flight-test activities and assisting in radar system sell-offs. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in STEM with 2+ years of relevant experience, and proficiency in C++, C, MATLAB or Python.

As a Sentinel® Radar Systems Engineer, you willparticipatein challenging multi-disciplinary work consisting of:

  • Radar System Sell-Off
What You Will Do
  • Responsible for the development and implementation of radar requirementsCreate high fidelity simulations and models for missile design, performance assessment, and flight test support
  • Responsible for the development and implementation of modeling solutions, andsubsequentlyconduct trade studies and evaluation of system and subsystem performance
  • Work in a team environment, receiving inputs from the team supervisors and providing guidance and/or direction to other team members
  • Support hands-on operational Integration and Test at the Fullerton Test Site
  • Support flight tests and analyze collected data to evaluate radar performance
  • Support CONUS and OCONUS radar system sell-off to the customer
  • Ability to travel ~10%
Qualifications You Must Have
  • Typically requires aBachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience
  • Experience working with object-oriented software design in C++, C, and using MATLAB or Python for evaluation of data sets
  • Experience in System Integration & Test of hardware and software
Qualifications We Prefer
  • Advanced Degree in Engineering, Science, Mathematics, or related STEM degree
  • Experience working on a team and by yourself, interfacing with multiple engineering disciplines and developing and presenting technical briefings
  • Experience with radar design, modeling/simulation, hardware/software integration,testand verification
  • Experience using UNIX/Linux based workstations and using Software Configuration Management toolsCourse work or experience in some of the following fields: radar, signal & image processing, radar and/or EO/IR environment models, digital communications, probability and statistics, linear algebra, estimation theory,optimalcontrol, system architecture

The salary range for this role is 75,800 USD - 144,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
