Job summary

Samson Rose is seeking a Radar Systems Engineer – Integration & Test in Hawthorne, CA. The role focuses on end-to-end hardware testing of radar systems with RF test equipment and Python-based test systems, ensuring performance meets specifications.

The position requires hands-on radar/RF experience in a fast-paced production environment and offers relocation assistance, equity participation, and comprehensive benefits. Onsite five days per week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in a STEM field.
• Strong Python programming skills.
• Solid RF engineering fundamentals.
• Hands-on experience with RF test equipment (spectrum analyzers, power meters, oscilloscopes, signal generators).
• Experience integrating, testing, or troubleshooting complex electronic or RF systems.
• Systems engineering mindset and understanding of hardware, software, firmware interactions.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-intensity environment.
• Attention to detail and ability to pass/fail against specifications.

Responsibilities

• Execute end-to-end hardwire testing of radar systems from setup to final pass/fail.
• Configure and operate RF test equipment (spectrum analyzers, meters, scopes, generators).
• Validate radar transmit/receive performance against specs.
• Evaluate spectrum allocation and RF system performance.
• Interface with radar software and Python-based automated test code.
• Follow established test procedures and investigate unexpected behavior.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot failures using RF, radar, and systems knowledge.
• Collaborate with technicians and engineers to find root causes.
• Record test runs and artifacts in manufacturing software.
