Job summary

Centuria Corporation is seeking a Systems Engineer to join our Norman, OK team supporting the National Weather Service Radar Operations Center. The role focuses on the systems engineering backbone for the NEXRAD network, including computer systems, networking, and security infrastructure.

You will review designs, perform feasibility studies, and ensure compliance with federal information system policies, directly impacting the reliability of the nation's weather infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline.
• Experience in system design and requirements analysis for complex computer systems.
• Familiarity with feasibility, cost/benefit, and alternatives analysis for large-scale programs.
• Strong technical writing and presentation skills.
• Radar systems and equipment knowledge is highly desirable.
• Experience with Linux in embedded environments.
• Knowledge of routing configurations (IPv4, IPv6, NAT, ACL).

Responsibilities

• Provide system design and requirements analysis for complex computer systems.
• Perform feasibility, cost/benefit, and alternatives analysis for large-scale product improvements.
• Develop documentation including technical specifications and system integration plans.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate hardware, software, and systems components.
• Conduct system integration and testing to validate functionality and performance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to system design and performance.
• Stay current with emerging technologies in computer systems and architecture.
