Job summary

Centuria is seeking a Meteorologist to support the National Weather Service's radar operations in Norman, OK. This role requires monitoring Doppler radar systems and troubleshooting issues related to radar performance.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Meteorology, experience with WSR-88D systems, and strong computer skills, particularly in Linux environments. The position offers a collaborative work environment focused on severe weather analysis and operational support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Meteorology, Atmospheric Science or related field.
• Experience with Doppler weather radar systems (WSR-88D preferred).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor WSR-88D radar performance and evaluate real-time data quality.
• Coordinate with electronics technicians to resolve system issues.
• Provide meteorological expertise during system troubleshooting.
