Job summary

Centuria Corporation is seeking a Systems Engineer to join our Norman, OK team supporting the National Weather Service Radar Operations Center. You will contribute to the Systems Engineering team responsible for the NEXRAD network's computer systems, networks, and security infrastructure.

You will analyze requirements, perform feasibility studies, implement NOAA-directed secure configurations, and help ensure reliable weather data delivery through robust system design and testing.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in system design and requirements analysis for complex computer systems.
• Familiarity with feasibility, cost/benefit, and alternatives analysis for large-scale product improvements.
• Strong technical writing and presentation skills.
• Requisite experience in radar systems and equipment is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of Linux operating systems and embedded Linux is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide system design and requirements analysis for complex computer systems.
• Conduct feasibility, cost/benefit, and alternatives analysis for modifications and large-scale product improvement programs.
• Develop documentation including technical specifications, design documents, and system integration plans.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful integration of hardware, software, and systems components.
• Perform system integration and testing activities to validate system functionality and performance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to system design, integration, and performance.
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends related to computer systems and architecture.
