Job summary

Job Juncture is seeking a seasoned Radar Systems Engineer in Colorado to lead weather radar data processing, link budget analysis, and system architecture development. The role requires creating robust verification plans and driving requirements flowdowns across hardware, firmware, and software.

The candidate will manage schedules, mentor staff, and seek new business opportunities. The position is office-based, full-time, with expectations of 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Engineering Master’s degree with emphasis in remote sensing and 10 years of relevant experience.
• Must work in the office a minimum of 40 hours/5 days per week.
• Experience with weather radar systems and data processing.

Responsibilities

• Develop weather radar requirements and flowdowns for hardware, firmware, and software.
• Create and analyze link budgets for radar systems.
• Perform radar system simulations and analyses to validate performance.
• Develop verification plans for systems and subsystems.
• Prepare system/subsystem requirements and architecture diagrams.
• Develop schedules and maintain program milestones; create workarounds as needed.
• Identify opportunities for new business and submit proposals to grow R&D base.
• Mentor and grow team through new hires and training.

• Strong background in weather radar and weather radar data processing
• Link budget creation and analysis
• Radar system simulation and analysis
• Development of System Requirements and Subsystem Requirements Flowdown (Hardware, Firmware, Software)
• Compliance Matrix
• Verification Plans for System and Subsystems
• Schedule development and maintenance, create work arounds to keep programs on schedule
• Software/Firmware System Architecture, Block Diagrams, Flow Charts and Verification
• Stay abreast of new technology publications, competitor products and originate articles promoting the company and professional capabilities
• Seek out and submit proposals for new business to grow the R&D base
• Grow team through new hires, as sales permit, and proactive mentoring and training
