Job summary

Radiance Technologies seeks a radar system modeling and simulation analyst in Huntsville to support foreign air and missile defense programs. You will work with system engineers and modelers to review, update, test, and document radar models built in Simulink and converted to C++ for Air Force and Navy pilots.

The role requires a TS/SCI clearance, a degree in Electrical Engineering or Physics, and experience with radar operations, modeling, and MATLAB/Simulink.

Qualifications

• US citizenship with a TS/SCI clearance.
• Experience in radar operations and terminology.
• Ability to perform exploratory analysis and research, and present results to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Effective interpersonal skills including the ability to collaborate successfully with other internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with an ability to succinctly describe complex technical scenarios in simple, easily understood terms.
• Strong analytic, inference, critical thinking, and creative problem-solving skills.
• At least three years' experience with radar systems.
• Prior experience characterizing radar systems based on incomplete information.
• Desired: Previous ITEAMS experience.

Responsibilities

• Communicate and collaborate effectively with other technical government and contractor engineers and scientists.
• Present findings and recommendations to appropriate groups and help determine actionable steps based on the findings.
• Prepare written, technical reports to management indicating analytical findings to support the Intelligence Community.

Radiance is seeking a highly qualified and motivated radar engineer or computer scientist to serve as a Radar System Modeling and Simulation Analyst for foreign air and missile defense weapon systems. The candidate will work with system engineers and other modelers to review, update, test, and document changes to radar models based on finished all-source intelligence products, ensuring the models meet technical and performance specifications and perform as required. Built in Simulink and converted to C++, these models are used by the Air Force and Navy to train pilots and test flight software. Successful candidates will need to have a good understanding of radar operations, a solid foundation in modeling and simulation, and working knowledge of analysis tools such as Matlab/Simulink.
