Job summary

CACI is seeking a Software Engineer Intern for Summer 2027 to learn and contribute to radar and sensor technologies. You will work on developing radar software, learn from experts, and support government customers with robust, tested code across the development lifecycle.

The internship offers exposure to C++/Java/Rust/Python development, Linux environments, and cloud-aware practices, with mentorship and opportunities to participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment activities.

Qualifications

• Working toward a degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Math, Physics, or related field.
• Willingness to obtain a Top Secret clearance and pass drug screening.
• Interest in learning remote sensing technologies and radar/electro-optical fields.

Responsibilities

• Translate algorithm definitions and prototypes into software applications.
• Learn radar phenomenology and algorithm implementation.
• Collaborate with developers; participate in code reviews and tech exchanges.
• Build and improve automated test and verification software and tools.
• Write clean, well-tested code following best practices and standards.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle from planning to maintenance.
• Modernize legacy code under mentorship and integrate into stacks.
