Job summary

Raytheon invites motivated students to join our Radar Systems Engineer Intern program in Goleta, CA, working onsite with experienced engineers. You will help define system architecture, develop requirements, and perform modeling and analysis across the full lifecycle of advanced radar sensor programs.

The role emphasizes hands-on hardware/software integration, use of MATLAB, Python, and C++, and collaboration with stakeholders.

Qualifications

Pursuing Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in STEM and enrolled through the internship/co-op session.
Must have a minimum of 30 hours of credit by the start of the internship / co-op session.
Experience with RF fundamentals: link budget analysis, modulation schemes, noise figure, gain, bandwidth, filtering, or wave propagation
Experience with RF test equipment (spectrum analyzers, VNAs, signal generators) through coursework, internships, or lab work
Experience using MATLAB for data analysis

Responsibilities

Define system architecture and develop/verify system requirements.
Perform analysis, modeling, and MBSE-based system design.
Support integration, testing, and flight activities across the product lifecycle.
Prepare and present technical reports and briefings to stakeholders.
Contribute to hardware/software integration and lab testing.
