Job summary

Zadar Labs, Inc. in Campbell, CA is seeking a Radar Perception and Sensor Fusion Software Engineer to design, develop, test, validate, and maintain software across the perception and robotics stack for real-time radar data processing.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize radar performance, integrate sensor fusion, SLAM, and localization capabilities, and support field testing and deployment of scalable software systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field, with at least 1 year of related experience.
• Proficiency in C, C++, and Python for embedded systems and data processing.
• Experience with RTOS, Embedded Linux, and microcontrollers (ARM, FPGA).
• Knowledge of radar signal processing, sensor fusion, and real-time data processing.
• Experience with Git, CMake, and Docker.
• Familiarity with CAN, SPI, I2C, UART, TCP/IP protocols.
• Experience with unit testing, GDB, and performance profiling.
• Cloud and edge computing: AWS, Azure, or NVIDIA Jetson for radar data processing.
• Ability to write and maintain API documentation and reports.

Responsibilities

• Develop radar processing software – design and refine algorithms for radar signal processing and data interpretation.
• Embedded systems development – work with real-time embedded systems to integrate radar sensors with hardware platforms.
• Firmware and driver development – write low-level firmware and device drivers for radar sensor operation.
• Machine learning and AI integration – implement AI-driven models to enhance object detection, classification, and tracking.
• Cloud and edge computing integration – develop cloud-based and edge-processing solutions for real-time radar data analysis.
• Software testing and validation – conduct unit testing, debugging, and performance profiling.
• Cross-functional collaboration – work with hardware engineers, data scientists, and product teams to optimize radar performance.
• Technical documentation and support – maintain code documentation, API references, and user guides.
