Job summary

Lockheed Martin in New Jersey is seeking a Software Engineer to develop high-performance C++ software for radar modeling and simulation in a systems-oriented environment. You will work with a team to implement, review, and validate software across the radar pipeline, and contribute to agile tasks and tooling improvements.

You will collaborate with engineers and architects to deliver robust radar simulations, maintain legacy code, and advance automation in a collaborative, mission-driven setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in STEM with minimum 2 years related experience.
• C++ or strong object oriented programming experience (e.g. Java, C# or similar languages).
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. DoD security clearance at the SECRET level. U.S. Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain high performance C++ software for radar modeling, scene modeling, signal construction and processing, and radar control processing components.
• Participate in design and code reviews actively providing and receiving constructive feedback to foster a continuous improvement mindset and strengthen the quality of our products.
• Collaborate with team leads to translate customer needs into actionable Agile tasks and actively participate in sprint planning, story break downs, stand-ups, demos, and retrospectives.
• Verify and interpret software changes, including regression testing, to ensure modifications produce intended system behavior.
• Analyze system level data to build confidence before delivering solutions to customers and downstream teams.
• Maintain and improve legacy codebases by applying and promoting software engineering practices.
• Support automation, regression testing, and tooling improvements.
