Job summary

Lockheed Martin in Marlton, New Jersey is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Radar Modeling and Simulation group. You will develop high performance C++ software for radar modeling, scene modeling, and signal processing within simulation environments.

Candidates should have strong OO programming experience (Java/C# acceptable) and be capable of collaborating with architects and leads to deliver robust solutions. A SECRET DoD clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Physics or related STEM degree with minimum 2 years related experience.
• C++ or strong object oriented programming experience (e.g. Java, C# or similar languages).
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. DoD security clearance at the SECRET level. U.S. Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain high performance C++ software for radar modeling, scene modeling, signal construction and processing, and radar control processing components.
• Participate in design and code reviews actively providing and receiving constructive feedback to foster a continuous improvement mindset and strengthen the quality of our products.
• Collaborate with team leads to translate customer needs into actionable Agile tasks and actively participate in sprint planning, story break downs, stand‑ups, demos, and retrospectives.
• Verify and interpret software changes, including regression testing, to ensure modifications produce intended system behavior.
• Analyze system level data to build confidence before delivering solutions to customers and downstream teams.
• Maintain and improve legacy codebases by applying and promoting software engineering practices.
• Support automation, regression testing, and tooling improvements.
